Project Runway Canada: Brian Bailey

The designer mentor showed us on Saturday he knows how to design for real women.

Simplicity reigned with shorter pant lengths, and tops and dresses that wrapped the models up in big bows like birthday presents. Nary a belt in sight.

Besides the zippered, 80s-inspired bubble dresses, trends were avoided in favour of unbelted sheaths and lines that skimmed the models curves rather than hugged them.

Perhaps for the woman who knows who she is already and has past the experimental phase.

  1. Certainly, I have to agree with you on this one, but I wanted more excitment, maybe not a turn to the crazy avant-garde world of fashion, but a little bit of adventure would have been appreciated.
